Basic Evangelism Training (Brisbane)

October 12, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 7:30 pm

OAC has a wonderful team of volunteer who serve in a range of capacities. This training is an opportunity to upskill in the area of personal gospel communication.

“Communicating Christ Clearly” has been meticulously developed as an evangelism course to empower every believer to share their faith. This comprehensive program equips individuals with an understanding of the core of the Christian worldview, and then gives them simple tools to communicate the gospel in a conversational format without relying heavily on Christian jargon.

Training day will cover:
  • What is the gospel?
  • How to get into a gospel conversation
  • How to communicate the gospel message
  • Use of analogies and avoiding jargon
  • How to help someone respond to the good news.

The sessions are interactive and involve role-playing and opportunities to practice what they are learning. There are videos of real evangelism encounters, a high quality workbook to complete, and homework assignments.

Lunch will be provided and we’ll head out to do an outreach together later in the afternoon where those who are just starting out will receive practical mentoring from experienced team members.

Cost:

$20 cash (on the day) includes workbook, morning tea, & lunch.

For those coming from further away (e.g. 1+ hours drive) we can arrange local billets on either/both Friday & Saturday nights as needed.

Registration is open to existing OAC volunteers and program participants.
