How can we pray effectively?
Start with the Lord’s prayer (Matt 6:5-15); the following points may also provide a helpful focus as you seek the Lord in prayer.
- SEE: Pray that followers of Jesus will see the people around them from God’s perspective and find the courage and competence to share the gospel with a person of peace (Luke 10:2-6)
- FIND: Pray that the people who hear the gospel through the ministry of OAC will find Jesus as they seek Him. (Matt 7:7)
- GO: Pray that God will call a new generation of Australian Christians to go into all the world and make disciples because the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. (Matt 9:37-38)
- SUPPLY: Pray that God will supply and multiply the resources available to support His workers in their work (2 Cor 9:6-11 & Matt 14:13-21)
- MULTIPLY: Pray that God will multiply His followers and the church in Australia will turn around seven decades of decline and begin to grow again. (Acts 6:7)
