Bio: Having been saved out of an atheistic upbringing at 20 years old, Andrew has a deep passion for both evangelism and for training others to share their faith effectively. Since joining staff in April 2018, Andrew has invested himself heavily in one-to-one evangelism and also seeking to train churches in the methodology of personal evangelism. He enjoys time “in the classroom” and has been able to also teach evangelism through a local Bible college for the past few years.
Andrew particularly loves reaching out to teens and young adults and finds them great fun to share with. He really enjoys the moment where it all makes sense for the first time or when a person who was previously hostile to the faith acknowledges that this is something they need to think through.
Alongside the more visible “front lines” work, Andrew coordinates ministry events like the Queensland Worldview camp, and also supports the national picture through developing systems for ministry that empower others to preach the gospel. He has served as the National Operations Coordinator since October 2024.
He has served in vocational ministry since 2007 in both missions and pastoral work and holds a MDiv from Melbourne School of Theology.
Catherine served as a local missionary from 2007 to late 2009 before an extended season of being a full-time mum. With the kids now all at school, she joined the Queensland team part-time in October 2021. Her week consists of a variety of ministry activities ranging from street evangelism, to mentoring interns, to helping OAC develop structures and systems that allow the organisation to grow. She now also oversees the national pool of volunteers who serve with OAC.
Andrew & Catherine have been married since 2005, and together they have 4 kids.
